The National Concert Hall is seeking to raise €50 million from philanthropic sources for a refurbishment scheme.
The president of the Lincoln Centre for the Performing Arts in New York, Reynold Levy, was the guest speaker at the concert hall’s annual gala dinner on Wednesday night. The Lincoln Centre managed to raise $1.2 billion (€900 million) for a refurbishment programme, three-quarters of that coming from private sources.
The concert hall is hoping to use the expertise of the centre to raise money, particularly in the United States.
