Racing: Aidan O'Brien, who is still refusing to panic about the form of his string, has confirmed that Derby favourite Horatio Nelson will take his chance in the Stan James 2000 Guineas at Newmarket on Saturday.
O'Brien has yet to win with a colt this season and from 31 runners he has only had two winners, he also suffered another winless day at the Curragh on Monday.
The Ballydoyle operation already have hot favourite George Washington in the race, set to be ridden by Kieran Fallon while Mick Kinane and Johnny Murtagh are lined up for the yards other runners.
"We are getting closer and the horses are beginning to come," said O'Brien. "The season goes on until December these days and every day is different.
"I was pleased with Hurricane Cat (third in the Tetrarach), who ran on well after looking as if he was going to run poorly. He had a few setbacks and was just ready to start off."
The trainer, who left five colts in the race on Monday, said: "We will run three and maybe four in the race. Amadeus Mozart won't be running. Kieren, Michael and Johnny Murtagh will be our jockeys and if we decide to run four then we will have to book another rider."
George Washington currently heads the market at 7-4 while Horatio Nelson can be backed at 7-1.
