The union representing bank staff the IBOA said today it has secured a 35 hour week and a 2 per cent pay increase above the terms of 'Towards 2016' its members in National Irish Bank.
The general secretary of the union Larry Broderick said: As provided for under the Enabling Agreement between IBOA, Danske Bank and National Irish Bank, Mr Kevin Foley, acting as an independent chairman, today issued a recommendation which provides for the introduction of a 35 hour week in National Irish Bank and an additional 2 per cent pay increase."
He said the introduction of a 35 hour week in National Irish Bank means IBOA members employed in the four main banks now worked these hours as a standard working week.
