National Toll Roads today announced details of Eazy Pass, a new servicedesigned to make payment on the East Link and West Link toll bridges easier.

Similar to the operation of prepaid telephone cards, Eazy Pass customers will receive an electronic tag when they set up an account. The toll barriers recognise the tags and will open automatically thus removing the need to carry change.

Customers can top up the balance on their accounts by credit card or direct debit and will receive a monthly statement of their transactions.

Account information can also be accessed via the Website www.eazypass.ie. The installation of the new system will cost NTR about euro five million.
