Patrick Kluivert could soon be playing in the black and white of Newcastle United if manager Bobby Robson has his way, according to reports today.
It is believed Newcastle are one of a number of clubs interested in the Dutch international after the Magpies' initial enquiries failed during the closed season in the summer.
"People know my feelings about playing in England," Kluivert told the Daily Expressnewspaper today.
"I admire the Premiership very much and want to play there. I know there will be clubs interested in me and it would be a dream to go there."
If Newcastle are serious about signing the Barcelona striker when the transfer window reopens again in January, they will be expected to pay wages in the region of £60,000 sterling per week for Kluivert's services.
