A manufacturer of floor tiles and car number plates and mats went into administration today following a request from the directors.
Reflex Mouldings employs 71 people, is based in Markethill, Co Armagh, in Northern Ireland, and has distribution centres in Lichfield, Staffordshire, and Kansas in the US.
It has been hit with a double whammy of the downturn in both construction and car sales.
Paul Rooney and Garth Calow, partners in PricewaterhouseCoopers, were appointed as joint administrators of the Northern Ireland-registered company.
Mr Rooney said they hoped to continue to trade.
He said: "The company has experienced trading and financial difficulties over recent months, which have contributed to today's decision.
"Our immediate priority will be to evaluate the company's financial position and take a view on the status of the order book and on existing contracts.
"When that is complete, we will make a decision on the way forward."
Reflex manufactures floor tiles for industrial, commercial and domestic use, and number plates and car mats for a variety of local and international customers.
Floor tiles are manufactured under the FlexiTile brand and distributed through Lichfield and Kansas.
