Teenagers in Northern Ireland are the most likely in Britain to have drunk alcohol by the age of 15 - with three quarters of them admitting to have been drunk, according to a survey published today.
At the same time they are far more likely to believe in God than their British counterparts, the Young People's Survey of Great Britain 2004, carried out by Blissmagazine, reports.
The figures from the survey said 86 per cent of Northern Ireland teenagers have drunk alcohol by the age of 15 - compared to a national average of 78 per cent - and 74 per cent say they "have been drunk", against a British average of 62 per cent.
Northern Ireland youngsters believe in God far more than their peers across Britain - 83 per cent against an average of just 52 per cent, reports the survey, which claims to be the largest-ever of teenage opinion.
