Racing:  Nickname is reported to be in fine shape as the countdown to his bid for back-to-back victories in Sunday's Norman Groves Steeplechase at Fairyhouse gathers pace.

The prolific nine-year-old took the Grade Two contest by 15 lengths from Justified 12 months ago.

He was, though, beaten on his seasonal debut last month when runner-up to Mansony in the Paddy Power Dial-A-Bet Chase at Leopardstown.

"He's very well, he couldn't be better," said trainer Martin Brassil.

Nickname's rivals on Sunday could include the 2005 Cheltenham Gold Cup hero Kicking King, who is set to make his comeback from injury.

"It should be an all right race," added Brassil.  "The ground is heavy and he enjoys that best of all."

Brassil also had news of 2006 Grand National hero Numbersixvalverde, who has not raced since finishing sixth to Silver Birch in the Aintree spectacular last April.

"He's fine. I don't know when he will be out and I won't decide until the end of the month," said Brassil.  "He'll have one or two runs, then it will be Aintree again."

The 12-year-old can be backed at 33-1 with numerous bookmakers for this year's John Smiths-sponsored marathon.
