A number of high profile absentees has forced Tyrone manager Mickey Harte to call nine new faces into the training squad for the McKenna Cup.

Three of the newcomers, Cathal McCarron, Shaun O'Neill and Fabian O'Neill, will join Dromore teammates Ryan McMenamin and Colm McCullagh in the squad.

Carrickmore forward Kevin McNally, defenders Martin Swift (Killyclogher), Dominic Hands (Dungannon), John Gilmore (Cookstown), forward Gary Reilly (Killeeshil) and midfielder Conall Martin (Eglish) have also been drafted in.

Harte will be keen to see what the newcomers have to offer, considering injury has denied him the services of Brian Dooher and Stephen O'Neill.

Brian McGuigan is also included but the Ardboe remains a doubt as he recovers from injury.
