Japanese video game maker Nintendo has said it may beat its earnings forecast for the current business year amid robust sales of its DS handheld games.
DS sales for the year to the end of next March may exceed its official forecast of 20 million units, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said.
Mr Iwata said there has been little cannibalisation effect between the DS and its new game console, the Wii.
The Kyoto-based company unveiled its new game console, the Wii, in North America on November 19th and in Japan on December 2nd.
