GAA: Aidan O'Mahony went in front of the GAA anti-doping committee last night but no verdict was reached after the Kerry player tested positive for salbutamol.
O’Mahony tested positive for the banned substance after the All-Ireland SFC final against Tyrone last September.
The committee adjourned late last night to consider submissions from the hearing and it is understood they will meet again tonight, but it remains unclear when a final decision will be announced.
“The GAA have confirmed that following a lengthy Hearing of the Anti-Doping Hearings Committee held last night (14th January), at which closing submissions were heard,” this morning’s statement from the GAA read.
“The Committee will now deliberate on the matter ahead of a final decision being announced to the relevant parties and the media at a later date.
“The GAA will not be making any further comment on the matter for the moment in accordance with Article 15 of the Irish Anti-Doping Rules.”
