While a murder inquiry was continuing at Santry Garda station yesterday, there were no leads in the killing of Mr Noel Heffernan (35), whose decomposed body was found in a shed near Dublin Airport on Sunday.]

Gardai renewed their appeal to anyone who had seen suspicious activity over the past two weeks in the Barberstown Lane area.

Mr Heffernan had been missing from his home in Ballyfermot Road since August 5th. His body was found on Sunday evening by a local family. He had been blindfolded and badly beaten, before being covered with clay. He is thought to have been dead for about 10 days before discovery.
