The impasse between Clare hurling manager Tony Considine and goalkeeper Davy Fitzgerald shows no sign of being resolved despite a meeting between both men earlier this week.
Fitzgerald, who has not trained with the county since January 24th, does not feature in a 33-man panel named last night ahead of Sunday's National Hurling League opener against Down.
The pair fell out over training regimes last month but it had been hoped within the county that Tuesday's meeting could bring an end to the row.
Frank Lohan, meanwhile, has been named Clare captain for the forthcoming season.
