Sofia - Bulgaria's presidential election in which the incumbent, Mr Petar Stoyanov, is the only candidate, will be held on November 11th.

The president and vice president must be elected by a majority ballot. If the first round does not produce a winner with a 50 per cent majority, a second-round vote will be held two weeks later.

The Bulgarian Prime Minister, former child-king Mr Simeon de Saxe Coburg-Gotha, has not yet presented a candidate, but has not ruled out supporting Mr Stoyanov.
