A Norwegian cargo ship believed to have been in collision with a French trawler has been ordered into the French harbour of Dunkirk on the instructions of
French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin, French port authorities said.
The Bow Eagle, a chemical cargo vessel, was en route for Rotterdam when maritime authorities requested its owners to order it to moor off the Channel port of Dunkirk tomorrow so police can conduct an investigation.
French police began a manslaughter inquiry today after the French trawler Cistudesank yesterday with four crew reported missing.
