A young man has been found not guilty of dangerous driving causing death.
During the four-day trial, Dara O’Sullivan (22) and his friends said they became scared when two men began jumping on the bonnet and roof of their limousine-style car in the early hours of November 8th, 2009.
Mr O’Sullivan said he panicked, started the car, revved the engine and then drove a short distance.
He said he saw the deceased, Liam Stafford (28), slipping off the bonnet of the car. Mr Stafford was dragged under the car and was crushed by the back wheel.
