Factory gate prices fell by 1.4 per cent compared to a 0.3 per cent decrease for the same period last year, according to figures released this morning by the Central Statistics Office (CSO).
The annual percentage change showed a decrease of 1.6 per cent in November compared to a decrease of 0.4 per cent in October of this year.
The most significant changes in November was the 4.4 per cent decrease in office machinery and computers and a 2.2 per cent decrease in basic chemicals.
The price of energy products increased by 16.1 per cent in the year since November 2003, while petroleum fuels increased by 14.5 per cent. November saw a monthly increase in energy products of 7.5 per cent, while petroleum fuels remained unchanged.
Pharmaceuticals and other chemical products were up 4.7 per cent while the yearly price index for mining and quarrying increased by 5.4 per cent.
