Budding sailors will be headhunted in Dublin this weekend to take part in a major round-the-world yacht race.

Solo sailing legend Sir Robin Knox-Johnston will today arrive in the capital to inspect the two 68-foot boats that will compete in the Clipper 07-08 race later this year.

The biennial Clipper Race, founded by Sir Robin in 1995, gives ordinary people the chance to follow in his footsteps and do something that had formerly been the preserve of the wealthy.

"I am looking forward to visiting Dublin later this week and giving people a chance to see two of our fleet of ten round the world race yachts," Sir Robin said.
