National Toll Roads (NTR) has reported profits of €18.2 million for 2004, an increase of 8 per cent.
The company, which operates Dublin's Westlink toll bridges, raised its tolls in January to €1.80 per car. It said group turnover increased by 29.7 per cent to 273.6 million, reflecting growth in NTR's roads, waste and renewable energy businesses.
Group operating profit increased by 19.5 per cent to 27.9 million; capital investment amounted to 202 million compared to 98 million in 2003.
Celtic Roads Group, in which NTR Roads has a 33.33 per cent share, was awarded the public private partnership contract to develop, toll and maintain the M1 Dundalk Western Bypass.
