Ms Miriam O'Callaghan, one of the presenters of RTE's current affairs programme, Prime Time, is to present a programme on the new British channel, Channel 5, writes Michael Foley, Media Correspondent. The programme, called Do You Believe In is a four part series which looks into the world of psychic phenomena. Ms O'Callaghan will interview experts from a variety of faiths and ordinary people who claim firsthand experience of the supernatural world.
A spokeswoman for RTE said Ms O'Callaghan would continue to present Prime Time.
Ms O'Callaghan is a freelance broadcaster and has worked for BBC's Newsnight programme. Last night, she chaired the television debate between the Taoiseach, Mr Bruton and the Fianna Fail leader, Mr Bertie Ahern.
