Legal discussion in the trial of Mr Brendan Patrick O'Donnell, which resumed yesterday after a two day adjournment, will continue today. It is being held in the absence of the jury, which will return to court ion Thursday.

Mr Justice Lavan adjourned the legal discussion until yesterday after the court heard medical evidence last Thursday that Mr O'Donnell had a respiratory infection and was being treated with antibiotics.

Mr O'Donnell (21), a native of Co Clare but of no fixed abode, has pleaded not guilty to the murder of Ms Imelda Riney (29) and her son, Liam (3), on a date unknown between April 28th and May 8th, 1994. He has also denied the murder of Father Joseph Walsh (37) between May 3rd and May 8th, 1994.
