GAA:Fermanagh manager Malachy O'Rourke has stepped aside after three seasons in charge of the county. After Fermanagh's disappointing league and championship campaigns, the Derrylin native has decided not to seek another term in charge of the Ernemen.
Fermanagh were relegated to Division Four of the National Football League at the start of the year and, despite a first round win over Cavan in the Ulster championship, they were hammered by Monaghan in the semi-finals.
Armagh then accounted for them in the qualifiers, prompting O’Rourke’s decision to call it a day.
“We would like to thank Malachy and all his backroom team for all their commitment and dedication over the last three years,” the Fermanagh board said today. “We wish them all the very best for the future.”
