Sonia O'Sullivan has confirmed that she will compete in the Women's Mini-Marathon in Dublin later this month.
O'Sullivan returns to competitive action in the Great Manchester 10km next week, having recently recovered from an Achilles problem. Her next outing will be in Dublin on Monday June 2nd.
The Cork-athlete is a long-term supporter of the Dublin Mini-Marathon - she still holds the record time from her run in 2000 - and this year it will pit her against Cavan's Catherina McKiernan, the first time two of Ireland's finest ever athletes will race against each other competitively on home soil.
