Snooker:Ronnie O'Sullivan put himself on the brink of a quarter-final place as he established a 6-2 lead over Peter Ebdon in their UK Championship last-16 clash.
O’Sullivan showed touches of class as he knocked in breaks of 113 and 118 to establish a clear advantage in the best-of-17 tie.
O’Sullivan took advantage of a half-chance in frame four to claim his first century and establish a 4-0 lead at the mid-session interval.
Ebdon threatened to fight back when he took two of the next three frames, but O’Sullivan again showed his class with another century to finish on a high.
