Snooker: Ronnie O'Sullivan has claimed a commanding 7-1 lead over Mark King in their last-16 clash at the Maplin UK Championship.
The Rocket failed to hit the heights in his 9-6 victory over Nottingham's Michael Holt in the first round yesterday.
But the three-time tournament winner was back to his vintage best as he wasted little time in powering 7-0 ahead.
O'Sullivan started with a 119 break which he then followed with further runs of 51, 71, 82 and 63 to leave himself needing just two frames for a place in this year's quarter-finals.
King won the last frame of the afternoon session with a composed break of 92, but the Romford player knows he has a mountain to climb if he going to stay in this year's £590,400 event.
The pair resume tonight to conclude their match with the winner set to play either Barry Hawkins or Jamie Cope in the quarter-finals.
