A technical hitch that prevented O2 customers from sending or receiving texts for a period today has been resolved.
It was the second time this month that customers encountered problems with the network.
A spokesman for O2 said billed and prepaid customers were impacted by the issue.
"The issue, which began at approximately 10.45am was resolved by 12.15. O2 worked as a matter of urgency to restore services and apologises to customers for the inconvenience this has caused," he said.
