Irish-based currency payment specialist Omnipay has signed a five-year contract worth up to £45 million with First Data Merchant services.
Under the terms of the deal, First Data - a subsidiary of First Data, the giant US financial services group - will intregrate Omnipay’s processing system with its US-based platform.
"First Data is the largest payment processor in the world and their global network provides us with a huge opportunity that we look forward to developing," Omnipay chief executive Mr Brian Connolly said today.
Omnipay was founded last year by Mr Connolly, formerly of AIB, and Mr Hubert O’Donoghue, formerly of Trintech.
