An 18-year-old man has been found dead and another man (18) seriously injured in a house in Tralee, Co Kerry.

Gardaí from Tralee Garda Station are investigating the teenager's death but say they believe it was not suspicious.

It is believed a gas leak from a heater in the early hours of this morning was responsible for the incident. The two men were students from the Institute of Technology, in Tralee. A third man in the rented house on Racecourse Road, who was asleep in an upstairs bedroom, escaped unharmed.

The alarm was raised this morning when a friend called to the house.
