US pop icon Britney Spears's halo slipped a bit this week after she was caught swearing at the Rock In Rio festival.
Ms Spears, who failed to notice her microphone was on, could be heard shouting abuse backstage after the support band finished a set.
Between bands at the Brazilian venue Ms Spears was playing in was meant to play music to keep the atmosphere going. This is known as "vamping".
In a backstage tantrum the diva said: "Don't tell me they're gonna let the audience just f***ing stand out there . . . they told me they were gonna do a vamp. Seriously, this is retarded . . . Oh s***! Oh no, what are they doing?"
