A 101-year-old woman who died at a Dublin hospital had contracted the superbug clostridium difficile, commonly known as C Dif prior to her death.
Christine Fisher was admitted to St Colmcille's Hospital, Loughlinstown, on May 29th, 2007 from Earlsbrook Nursing Home, Bray, where she lived since 2000.
She died just under a month later on June 25th, 2007.
An inquest into Ms Fisher's death at Dublin County Coroner's Court heard that she had contracted the hospital acquired infection, C Diff.

Dr Morgan Crowe of St Colmcille's Hospital told the court that Ms Fisher's death was related to either C Diff or pneumonia.
Coroner Dr Kieran Geraghty recorded an open verdict.
