Ljubljana - Yesterday's general election in Slovenia seems set to allow centre-left leader Mr Janez Drnovsek to reclaim the job of prime minister.
The 50-year-old economist has held the job almost continuously since his country won independence from Yugoslavia in 1991. He has been in opposition just over four months. With more than 80 per cent of the vote counted, Mr Drnovsek's Liberal Democrats were heading for some 35 per cent of the vote.
