THE Irish language feature content of The Irish Times will be edited from Galway starting this month, in an innovation made possible through the newspaper's ATEX computer system. The Irish Language Editor, Uinsionn Mac Duhhghaill, will be based in Galway from September 1st.
He will continue to generate the newspaper's established Irish language columns under the new arrangements and also contribute general news and feature material on developments in the west of Ireland.
Uinsionn Mac Dubhghaill is a native of Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin, and was educated at Sandymount High School, Ringsend Technical Institute and University College, Galway.
He joined the staff of The Irish Times in 1993.
