Washington - The White House yesterday released a list of 404 overnight guests at the presidential residence, or the Camp David retreat, hoping to defuse charges that donors to Ms Hillary Clinton's Senate bid got such sleepovers in return for campaign cash.
From July 1st, 1999, when the Ms Clinton began a tour of New York ahead of formally declaring her candidacy, to August 31st, 2000, the Clintons have hosted 404 family members, friends and supporters at both sites, the White House said.
The guests included moviemaker Steven Spielberg; actresses Meg Ryan and Rhea Pearlman; actors Dennis Quaid, Danny Devito and Ted Danson; and former broadcaster Walter Cronkite.
