Manny Pacquiao gained sweet revenge for last year's unanimous points loss to Erik Morales when claiming a 10th-round win over the Mexican legend in Las Vegas last night.
There was little to separate these two ring warriors for the first five rounds of their super-featherweight bout at the Thomas & Mack Arena.
However, Pacquiao turned up the heat in the sixth and clearly hurt Morales, who suffered a broken nose during the fight.
Morales battled on bravely but looked a spent force when he was floored twice in the 10th and referee Kenny Bayless stepped in to stop the contest with just under 30 seconds of the round remaining.
The 27-year-old Pacquiao, from the Philippines, took his record to 41-3-2 and could now face a rematch with Marco Antonio Barrera, who he beat in November 2003.
Morales, 29, has now lost three of his last four fights, having previously lost just one of his first 48 pro contests.
