Vatican City - Padre Pio, a 20th century mystic monk who had mysterious bleeding scars like Christ's wounds, is to be beatified in May next year, the Vatican announced yesterday. The Vatican said Pope John Paul had approved a decree recognising a miracle attributed to the monk, who died in 1968 at the age of 81.
