DUBLIN Corporation might think it has an uphill battle with its new litter campaign but its problems are quite different to those faced the New York Sanitation Department. Draconian anti smoking laws have meant that the paths outside every office block entrance are crowded with furtive looking, smoking workers.
The problem is the butts. Millions of fag ends are causing real cleanup problems and the Department has now launched a new campaign called Can Your Butts to encourage smokers to stubs their cigarettes out in the specially provided new outdoor ashtrays.
