TWO BUSINESSMEN who bought an investment property at The K Club at Straffan, Co Kildare, just before the 2006 Ryder Cup have agreed to pay almost €18,000 in unpaid service charges. Bessilton Holdings Ltd and Karsavina Management Ltd, Straffan, had sued former K Club director of golf Paul Crowe and Cork accountant Finbarr Buckley for €17,730 in the Circuit Civil Court yesterday.

Mr Crowe, of Temple Road, Blackrock, Co Dublin, and Mr Buckley, of chartered accountants Buckley Co, Lapps Quay, Cork, were described as owners of 757 Ryder Cup Village, an apartment they bought in 2004.

The plaintiffs had sued the businessmen for services over a period of six years up to June 2009, claiming they had been in breach of an agreement to pay service charges.
