A Palestinian suicide bomber blew himself up today at the Erez checkpoint on Israel's border with the Gaza Strip, Israel Radio said.
Israel radio said four people were wounded in the blast.
Israeli military sources said it appeared that the bomber had exploded near an army post at the entrance to an industrial complex inside the crossing.
The blast occurred days after US President George W. Bush endorsed Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's plan to retain some large West Bank Jewish settlements and bar refugees from returning to what is now Israel.
