George Harrison (54) has modified his criticism of Oasis and modern rock music. He had said the Manchester band was not "very interesting", and he would "rather listen to Bob Dylan". In a later statement he said: "All the quotes about Oasis are giving people the wrong impression. I have no interest in them one way or the other, and I wish people would stop using my name in conjunction with theirs."

Singer Gina G (26) collapsed while on a flight from Heathrow to Glasgow, due to "nervous exhaustion", and was taken to hospital on Thursday, her publicist said. Gina found fame with her number one hit, Oooh Aaah Just A Little Bit, last year. She was discharged from hospital yesterday.
