THE LATE Francois Mitterrand's doctor has renewed a plea to an appeals court to allow him to release his tell tale book on the former French president after his widow denied demanding a ban on it. Dr Claude Gubler's lawyer said he had written to.the Paris appeals court to draw its attention to Danielle Mitterrand's statements.

A court blocked sales of Gubler's Le Grand Secret after lawyers for Mitterrand's family argued it breached medical secrecy and invaded privacy.
