THREE TENORS promoters still have about 4,000 tickets left unsold for tonight's concert at Wembley Stadium

THREE TENORS promoters still have about 4,000 tickets left unsold for tonight's concert at Wembley Stadium. About 50,000 tickets some costing £1,000 each have been sold, giving estimated takings of about £7 million.

Promoters say the threat of rain may have deterred some, but the event was expected to be sold out because of the pulling power of its stars Luciano Pavarotti, Jose Carreras and Placido Domingo.

Neither Bob Geldof nor Paula Yates appeared at the High Court yesterday. Paula, who is eight months pregnant by INXS singer Michael Hutchence, reportedly knocked down a wall at the Chelsea home they used to share.

It was agreed between them that their lawyers should hand over an order disposing of the matter.
