OASIS star Liam Gallagher is to marry film actress girlfriend Patsy Kensit, it was reported last night.
The couple exchanged rings yesterday after collecting them from a leading London jeweller. But no date has been fixed for the wedding, Liam (23) told the Sun. Patsy (28), is seeking a divorce from her second husband, Simple Minds singer Jim Kerr.
"We got the rings at Hatton Garden. Patsy's cost me an arm, a leg and a head," Liam said.
The High Court in London ruled yesterday that the fifth marriage of the late Lord Moynihan to Jinna (29), a belly dancer, was invalid because he had not properly divorced his fourth wife, Editha, a former massage parlour employee.
The former Antony Moynihan, who died in 1991 aged 55, ran massage parlours and brothels in Manila after fleeing to the Philippines in 1969 while wanted for 57 charges of fraud in Britain.
The judge, Sir Stephen Brown, said Moynihan, who was implicated in drugs and tax evasion scandals and once appeared at a his birthday party with a tiger on a lead was "by all accounts a rogue".
Jinna's son Andrew (5) cannot inherit because he was ruled to be the child of a bigamous marriage, while DNA evidence means Lord Moynihan was not the father of Editha's son Andrew (7). But Editha can press on with her claim in the Manila courts to inherit her husband's multi million pound massage parlour fortune.
Lord Moynihan's half brother, Colin Moynihan (41), a Conservative MP and former sports minister, is now likely to take the Moynihan title.
Claudette Colbert (92), the queen of 1930s Hollywood comedies, has died at her home in Barbados, a 200 year old plantation house in Speightstown.
She won an Academy Award for best actress for her performance in the comedy, It Happened One Night, in 1934. Co star Clark Gable and director Frank Capra received Academy Awards for their roles.
