PRINCESS Diana has been removed from the prayers said for the royal family in parliament before each day's business. The move was described as "vindictive" by one Conservative MP, Jerry Hayes.
The Mail on Sunday said Queen Elizabeth approved the downgrading of Diana's status after talks with constitutional experts. Canon Donald Gray, who reads prayers in the House of Commons, said the change followed discussions between parliamentary authorities and the palace.
