Rabat - Morocco has raised penalties for people who use mobile phones while driving.
They face up to three months in jail and fines of up to 2,400 dirhams (about £180), a transport ministry spokesman said yesterday. He added that road safety authorities had noticed an increase in accidents blamed on mobile phones.
