Around 600 workers and supporters marched through Dublin today celebrating the May Day holiday and the struggle for greater worker's rights.

Organised by the Dublin Council of Trade Unions the march attracted people from a variety of groups including the Socialist Party, Attac, Republican groups, Residents Against Racism, the Anti-Fascist League and trade unions. The march caused slight disruption to holiday traffic as it walked down O'Connell Street, across the Liffey, before back-tracking to Beresford Place for music and speeches.
