London - Lawyers for the former Chilean dictator, Gen Augusto Pinochet, re-launch their attempt for his release today with a demand to the High Court to drop all the charges remaining against him.
Lawyers have again demanded that the court free Gen Pinochet (83), currently under house arrest at a secluded mansion south-west of London after being arrested five months ago.
But observers expect the decision will be left to the British Home Secretary, Mr Jack Straw, following last week's decision by the law lords to reduce the charges against the general.
