Twenty people were evacuated from their homes after a pipe bomb was discovered outside a house in Portadown, the RUC said.
The bomb had been placed at the rear of the house in Westland Road. No one was in the house at the time.
The RUC was called at 10.30 p.m. last night, and British army bomb disposal experts confirmed it was a pipe bomb.
Nearby residents were evacuated to a local church hall while the device was made safe.
