Agreed undisclosed damages were awarded to three men and a woman at Derry County Court yesterday in relation to an RUC search and arrest operation in the Bogside area three years ago.

The plaintiffs, Mr Tony Doherty, Ms Geraldine Emsley, Mr Charles Lamberton and Mr Paul O'Connor, had claimed wrongful arrest, assault and unlawful detention against the RUC Chief Constable, Sir Hugh Annesley, arising from an incident on December 9th, 1992. The four were among a number of people arrested at a building which houses the Pat Finucane Centre and the Bloody Sunday Justice Group offices.
