A new €16.5 million project will create 400 jobs in Waterford city, the Tánaiste and Minster for Enterprise Trade and Employment Ms Harney announced today.

US based Nypro Ltd, a specialist in the manufacture of plastic mouldings, will establish a new assembly plant in Waterford Industrial Estate.

Ms Harney described the jobs announcement as "a tremendous boost not just for the city but for the South East region as a whole."

Nypro already has a facility in Bray, Co Wicklow, which was established in 1980. The company employs over 8,000 people worldwide at 27 plants in 12 countries.
