The police in Limavady, Co Derry, said yesterday they were becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of two sisters, missing from their home at Drumsurn Road in Dungiven since last Monday.

Kerry and Karen Nicholson, aged 15 and 14 respectively, were last seen in the Chapel Road area of Dungiven at 10.45 a.m. on Monday.

Kerry is described as 5'5" tall, of medium build with a pale complexion and with blue eyes.

Karen, who has what's described as 'dirty fair hair' in a ponytail style, was last seen wearing her school uniform which consists of a green jumper, green and white striped tie and black trousers.

"We are appealing for anyone who may recognise the description of the girls, or who knows of their whereabouts, to contact us as soon as possible. We would also urge Kerry and Karen to contact their family immediately", a PSNI spokesman said.
